Build in Canada Innovation Program Call for Proposals is Now Open
GLOBE-Net, November 22, 2013
Canadian entrepreneurs can get an investor for their business from the Government of Canada this week.
The Build in Canada Innovation Program (BCIP), formerly known as the Canadian Innovation Commercialization Program (CICP), has announced the launch of the program’s fourth Call for Proposals.

Companies can test their innovations and even become a testing department for the Federal Government. They are often the first to use, test, and evaluate state-of-the-art innovations that are not available in the marketplace yet.
“Entrepreneurs have such an important role in driving innovation in this country, which in turn creates jobs and economic growth for Canada,” said Diane Finley, Minister of Public Works and Government Services.
“Our job as a government is to fuel that spirit and drive in Canada, and this new Call for Proposals will help kick-start businesses by getting their innovative products and services from the lab into the market,” she added.
The Call for Proposals solicitation document is available at no cost on the Government of Canada’s electronic tendering service at Buyandsell.gc.ca/tenders.
Suppliers deadline for proposals is January 7, 2014
About the BCIP: Announced in Budget 2010 and made permanent in Budget 2012, the Build in Canada Innovation Program (BCIP) supports Canadian businesses by procuring and testing their late stage innovative products and services within the federal government.
