Please visit the following link to preview the agenda for the COSIA – AI-EES Water Conference: VIEW THE CONFERENCE AGENDA The two-day conference will take place on March 22 to 23 in Calgary, AB, and will be preceded by learning workshops March 21 on mining and in-situ oil sands water fundamentals and technical challenges, and on monitoring water quality impacts, to help bring new and recent professionals and students working in this area up to speed on current issues, technologies, and approaches. The COSIA – AI-EES Water Conference is dedicated to presenting technical, operational, and policy information on oil sands water sourcing / use / re-use / disposal for both in situ and open-pit mining recovery of bitumen and its subsequent upgrading or conversion to synthetic crude oil. Of particular interest in this low oil price environment are technologies that both improve environmental outcomes and reduce costs.
